That phrase is similar to the title of Johnny FD’s book about his own digital nomad journey. (It’s worth reading, btw).

What does that have to do with this blog? Well, I am very aware that I have neglected my young, fragile little blog which was just starting, but I’m committing to getting back in the habit of writing more on a consistent basis. My situation is changing and I want an outlet to share my new experiences with others and hopefully connect with more people as well.

Where am I now? I’m in Bali! I can’t believe it as I am typing this. On the one hand, it’s very real being here because, well, I was awake and involved in the process of physically getting here 😉 But, on the other hand, it is a bit surreal now that I think of it. My dream has been to get over here to SE Asia–not just to take a quick trip, but to really explore and get to know it. I wanted to have it be sustainable, to have money to take my time, and well, kind of live here (as much as I’m legally able to.) And, now folks, I’m living that life–exotic fruits and being fanned with a giant palm leaf, etc. all of that (just kidding 🙂

What happened in between?

I am going to make a few short posts summing up some different places and experiences starting right now.

So, I’m going to get to that, and you stay on the lookout for those posts!

(The photo is me in Ubud, Bali after lunch on a 10-mile walk.)
